This shape reminds me of Star Wars' Jabba The Hut; you can see where it began with small blobs and icicles on the inside, then larger blobs piled up, and finally huge blobs that all grew together into one unified blob facing the water... and yet the lee side of the plant is bare, you can touch the stems. What a dance between exposed fragile twigs on the inside, and huge piled mass on the wind side. And look at the breathtaking translucence, seeing the light within the blobs.
